Hello! I’m Yifan, a UK-qualified Art & Design teacher with a PGCE (QTS) from University College London (UCL) and a First Class BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London (UAL). I specialise in teaching IGCSE and A-Level Fine Art, Graphic Design and portfolio preparation for students applying to leading art and design universities worldwide. Over the past year, I have taught IGCSE and A-Level Art & Design and guided students through portfolio development, artist research, experimentation, sketchbook development and university applications. My students have achieved A grades and successfully prepared portfolios for UAL and other leading art schools. During my PGCE training, I taught Year 7–12 students in UK secondary schools, where I developed a student-centred teaching approach based on differentiation, formative feedback and creative thinking. My lessons focus not only on improving technical skills but also on helping students develop their own artistic voice, critical thinking and research abilities. I believe every student has unique strengths, and my role is to guide them in discovering their creative potential.
